As We Gatherin' 2025 continues to unite Bajans at home and abroad, we step into the vibrant month of June, dedicated to the heart of the island – St. George!
Known for its lush landscapes, rolling hills, and deep-rooted traditions, St. George invites us to reconnect with our heritage, celebrate our people, and honour the stories that shape our nation.

📅 June 2 – Community Walk by the Schools of St. GeorgeCome out and support our students as they take to the roads in unity and pride, walking through the parish they call home.
📅 June 14 – Spirit of the Lion Show at St. George SecondaryAn inspiring showcase of talent, strength, and resilience — celebrating the spirit of St. George through music, drama, and performance.
Whether you're walking the green fields, enjoying local cuisine, or catching up with family and friends — let's gather, give thanks, and grow together.
"Spirit of the Lion Show" Set for June 14th
St. George Secondary Roars with Pride: The stage is set, the excitement is building, and the students of St. George Secondary School are ready to roar! As part of the parish’s We Gatherin’ 2025 celebrations, the school will proudly host its highly anticipated pageant, "Spirit of the Lion Show," on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at the St. George Secondary School Hall.
This vibrant event is more than a pageant—it’s a powerful showcase of youth empowerment, community spirit, and cultural pride. Developed through a school-wide initiative focused on personal growth and community involvement, the show will feature talented and passionate student participants vying for the title in front of family, friends, and community members.
Held in collaboration with the Community Independence Celebrations Secretariat under the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment, the show promises an evening of dynamic performances, inspiring stories, and uplifting entertainment.
"Spirit of the Lion is our way of shining a light on the strength, courage, and creativity of our young people," said one of the event organizers. "It’s about giving our students a platform to express themselves, grow in confidence, and celebrate who they are—together as one St. George community."
The show forms part of the school’s contribution to the We Gatherin’ 2025 programme and is a celebration of both youth development and parish pride.
Tickets are available at St. George Secondary School and Jeans Inc., Sheraton Mall.
Search for Tailors and Seamstresses
Do you know how to make clothes? We are looking for tailors and seamstresses to make uniforms for our girls.
Currently we are without a manufacturer for the uniforms and have and will continue to be grateful for the assistance of the individuals who make the uniforms each year. We would like to compile a list for dissemination to the school body and new students to ensure that each girl gets their uniform in a timely manner and according to the school's guidelines.

PTA Online Meeting - February

Form Level Meetings
We are pleased to invite you to attend the upcoming Form Level Meetings for our students. These meetings will provide an opportunity for you to engage with the school and discuss your child’s progress.
- 1st & 2nd Year: Tuesday, 25 February
- 3rd & 4th Year: Wednesday, 26 February
To facilitate these meetings, school will close early at 12:40 p.m. on both days.

2025 Inter-House Sports Championship

This is your chance to showcase your athletic skills, cheer on your house, and earn the title of House Champion for 2025.
Will your house rise to the top, securing victory in both individual and team events? It’s not just about competition; it’s about pride, spirit, and unity. Every race, every goal, and every throw counts towards bringing glory to your house.
But wait — there’s more! The prestigious Victor or Victrix Ludorum title awaits one extraordinary athlete from each gender who outshines everyone in multiple events. Could that athlete be you? With hard work, determination, and a competitive spirit, you could claim this coveted award and cement your place in the school's sporting history.

PTA Online Meeting
We invite you to our upcoming Online PTA Meeting where we will be discussing an important topic: "Managing Childhood Autism". This session will provide valuable insights and strategies to help support children with autism, both in the classroom and at home. Whether you're seeking guidance, resources, or just want to connect with others in our community, we encourage you to join us for this enriching conversation.
Wednesday January 29th, 2025 from 5:00pm.
Guidance will be given as practical tips will be given and any questions you may have will be answered.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more and connect with other parents who share similar experiences. We hope to see you there!

Early Closure and 5th Year Form Level Meeting
School will close at 12:45pm on Wednesday 20th November, 2024 to facilitate the Fifth Year Form Level Meeting. (i.e. Lower and Upper Fifth.)

Congratulations to Maleeq for his incredible achievements! Winning the Under 13 National Sports Council's Secondary School Table Tennis Competition is a huge accomplishment, and securing second place in the Under 20 competition is equally impressive. It’s clear he’s got some serious talent and determination. Maleeq’s dedication to the sport is definitely paying off!
Independence Celebrations
The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training has granted permission for students to wear clothing to represent the national colours on each Friday throughout the month of November, 2024.
Upper Fifth Form Sports - UPDATE
Due to current weather conditions, Upper Fifth Form Sports will be cancelled.
Regular classes will take place tomorrow, Friday 8 November, 2024.
This week only...
This week, we will be following Friday's timetable on Wednesday, 6th November. Due to the cancellation of three consecutive Fridays (TPD, Mid-Term Break, and the U5th Track Event), Wednesday will be treated as a Friday, with all Friday's subjects and schedule replacing the usual Wednesday timetable.
