          • The Spirit of the Lion Show 2026

          • Following a successful debut, St. George Secondary School proudly presents the second staging of The Spirit of the Lion Show 2026—a vibrant celebration of talent, resilience, and school pride.

            Building on the energy and impact of its first production, this highly anticipated encore promises to be even more dynamic and inspiring. The show continues to embody the strength, courage, and unity that define our lion spirit, while providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and excellence.

            Under the compelling theme “Roaring into the Future,” this year’s production reflects both progress and possibility—honouring the foundation laid before while boldly stepping into new horizons. Audiences can expect an unforgettable evening of captivating performances, artistic brilliance, and electrifying stage presence.

            As the tradition begins to take root, we invite you to experience the evolution of this remarkable showcase—where every roar grows stronger, and every performance shapes the future.  Tickets are on sale for the 20th June event.

          • Honour Roll Recipients

          • We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding academic accomplishments of our students who earned placement on the Principal’s Honour Roll for Terms 1 and 2 of the 2025–2026 academic year.

            At the end of each term, students who achieve an average of 70% or higher are recognised for their commitment to excellence and high standards of performance. In recognition of this achievement, awardees are formally presented with certificates by the Principal during a special ceremony at a full school assembly in the auditorium.

            This accomplishment reflects not only academic ability, but also discipline, perseverance, and a dedication to success. We applaud our Honour Roll students for setting a commendable example and encourage them to continue striving for excellence in all their endeavours.

            Students — this is your moment! Bring the vibes, wear your house colours loud and proud, and turn the Lions’ Den into a sea of Blue, Green, Purple, and Red. Cheer hard, chant louder, and stand with your house as our athletes battle for bragging rights and championship glory!

            Parents — come out and support our students as they showcase their talent, teamwork, and school spirit. Your encouragement fuels the energy on the track and in the stands. Let’s show what true school pride looks like!

            Alumni — once a Lion, always a Lion! Return to the Lions’ Den, represent your house, and relive the excitement of Inter-House Sports. Your presence keeps the tradition alive and inspires the next generation.

            The Inter-house Championships is on Tuesday, 24 February 2026 at the Lions Den.

          • Students are again reminded of the Ministry of Education Transformation and the school guidelines with the use of cellular phones on the school compound.

          • As We Gatherin' 2025 continues to unite Bajans at home and abroad, we step into the vibrant month of June, dedicated to the heart of the island – St. George! 

            Known for its lush landscapes, rolling hills, and deep-rooted traditions, St. George invites us to reconnect with our heritage, celebrate our people, and honour the stories that shape our nation.

            📅 June 2 – Community Walk by the Schools of St. GeorgeCome out and support our students as they take to the roads in unity and pride, walking through the parish they call home.

          • "Spirit of the Lion Show" Set for June 14th

          • St. George Secondary Roars with Pride:  The stage is set, the excitement is building, and the students of St. George Secondary School are ready to roar! As part of the parish’s We Gatherin’ 2025 celebrations, the school will proudly host its highly anticipated pageant, "Spirit of the Lion Show," on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at the St. George Secondary School Hall.

            This vibrant event is more than a pageant—it’s a powerful showcase of youth empowerment, community spirit, and cultural pride. Developed through a school-wide initiative focused on personal growth and community involvement, the show will feature talented and passionate student participants vying for the title in front of family, friends, and community members.

            Held in collaboration with the Community Independence Celebrations Secretariat under the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment, the show promises an evening of dynamic performances, inspiring stories, and uplifting entertainment.

            "Spirit of the Lion is our way of shining a light on the strength, courage, and creativity of our young people," said one of the event organizers. "It’s about giving our students a platform to express themselves, grow in confidence, and celebrate who they are—together as one St. George community."

            The show forms part of the school’s contribution to the We Gatherin’ 2025 programme and is a celebration of both youth development and parish pride.

             

            Tickets are available at St. George Secondary School and Jeans Inc., Sheraton Mall.

             

             

          • Search for Tailors and Seamstresses

          • Do you know how to make clothes?  We are looking for tailors and seamstresses to make uniforms for our girls.  

             

            Currently we are without a manufacturer for the uniforms and have and will continue to be grateful for the assistance of the individuals who make the uniforms each year.  We would like to compile a list for dissemination to the school body and new students to ensure that each girl gets their uniform in a timely manner and according to the school's guidelines.

This is your chance to showcase your athletic skills, cheer on your house, and earn the title of House Champion for 2025.

            Will your house rise to the top, securing victory in both individual and team events? It’s not just about competition; it’s about pride, spirit, and unity. Every race, every goal, and every throw counts towards bringing glory to your house.

            But wait — there’s more! The prestigious Victor or Victrix Ludorum title awaits one extraordinary athlete from each gender who outshines everyone in multiple events. Could that athlete be you? With hard work, determination, and a competitive spirit, you could claim this coveted award and cement your place in the school's sporting history.

This session will provide valuable insights and strategies to help support children with autism, both in the classroom and at home.             Guidance will be given as practical tips will be given and any questions you may have will be answered.
